Ghosts. For many, the term is benign. They might think of a child on Halloween, a fun theme-park ride, or an adorable cartoon. This is because they have never faced a real apparition. They have not peered into its soulless eyes or felt the cold touch of a spectral hand... but we have.
We have faced nightmares beyond comprehension. Haunted houses, haunted buildings, haunts, cemeteries, haunted roads, haunted cemeteries, morgues. The monstrous, the horrible, the preternatural. Most people can't bring themselves to admit that there are shadows that walk among us, so we must face the ghosts when the others will not.
If you can stomach the grotesque, remain steadfast in the face of horror, and stay on the razor's edge, you are invited to enter our world.
We are: the GhostFacers!
Our Story:
There is a story that as Magellan rounded South America, the natives couldn't see his tall ships. It was only after his longboats were launched could the Incas actually see them and by then... it was too late.
One tribe, however, had a shaman who was open to the possibility of new things. He could see the ships and described them to his fellow natives, who then also saw the approaching caravels.
The GhostFacers are that shaman. We open people's eyes to the truth: that ghosts do, in fact, exist. That a shadow world surrounds us all and it is just out of our sight because, just like those Incas, most people can't conceive of these terrors even existing. But they do, dear reader. And we have seen them.
We face all manner of the preternatural and document it; when the X-Files claims that 'the truth is out there' they're right. It is the GhostFacers (you can either use "GhostFacers" for 'truth is' or 'out there', it still applies).
The GhostFacers are poised to take a number of different industries by storm. These industries include: science, math, philosophy, religion, agriculture, government and entertainment with the potential of affecting some major public works projects as well. In fact, it is safe to say that there is no aspect of human civilization that will not be impacted to some degree by GhostFacers.
We are an ethnically diverse, four person team of creative young filmmakers, thinkers, strategists, caregivers, lawnmowers, printing experts, and Maggie. Our group's origins stretch back all the way to early 2006.
Ed and Harry, the group's founders, had gathered a number of incontrovertible photographs of a ghost in Richardson, TX and posted them to their website, HellHoundsLair.com. It caused a national sensation and reinforced the idea that paranormal investigation was something they should be pursuing full time.
Ed and Harry returned to their home town of Appleton, WI and set up shop. They recruited Ed's sister Maggie for her technical expertise and a local cameraman named Kenneth Spruce to document the cases. Working from a humble garage, they managed to put together one of the greatest opuses to the reality of spectral manifestation* and the 'Facer movement had begun.
Stay razor!
